The multi-disciplinary team of RAK Diabetes Center consists of endocrinologists, diabetologists, internists, diabetes-educator, general practitioner, dietitian, podiatrist, ophthalmologist and cardiologist working together to provide comprehensive care for patients with diabetes and endocrine disorders under one roof. Our physicians offer the following services for adults and Children:



Diabetes Management

  • Comprehensive Diabetes management for Adults & Pediatrics (Type 1, Type 2, Gestational Diabetes, Secondary Diabetes and others)
  • Implementation of modern diabetes treatment technologies
  • Special programs and workshops for children and adolescents (DiaBEATers Club)

A general practitioner/family physician is offering a comprehensive healthcare service for all family members across the ages. The holistic approach of general practice aims to take into consideration the biological, psychological and social factors relevant to the care of each patient’s illness. Our family physician provides a wide range of acute, chronic and preventive medical care services including routine check ups, seasonal and travel immunization, screening tests, health risk assessments and personalized counseling on maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You are welcome to discuss any of your health concerns with our family physician.

In addition to addressing routine medical issues of our patient, RAK Diabetes Center General Practitioners pay visits to corporate organizations and schools to raise awareness on healthy lifestyles, and promote disease prevention. RAK Diabetes Center GPs also provide a “Visiting Doctor” service to corporate organizations in Dubai.

The Department of Internal Medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases in adults.

Our Internists deal with the entire spectrum of diseases of the inner organs, metabolic diseases, endocrine, rheumatoid and infectious diseases.

Our core-competencies are :
  • Management of non-infectious diseases including Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Lipid Disorders
  • Management of Infectious Diseases
  • Management of Endocrine Diseases, including Thyroid disorders and disorders of the Parathyroid and disorders of the adrenal glands.

A Podiatrist is skilled, trained and educated doctor to assess, diagnose and treat problems of the foot, ankle and associated structures of the leg. Podiatry is an important part of multidisciplinary approach for the treatment and management of diabetes. One of the most dangerous complications of diabetes is the diabetes foot, as it may lead to amputation of lower limbs.

Our podiatrist works closely with doctors, nurses and diabetes educators to increase awareness and education to get the best results.
